Hybrid DVR is a standalone video recorder that is able to receive video streams from both analog and IP cameras. In this example, the hybrid DVR is connected to the analog cameras via coaxial cable. Depending on the model, one hybrid DVR can support 4, 8 or even 16 analog cameras. The solution is very easy to use - simply plug and play. You can access the hybrid DVR either by the local display, or remotely over the IP network using the web browser.
When the project scale goes beyond 16 analog cameras, then multiple hybrid DVR can be used. To have a centralized overview of all the video channels, ACTi CMS can be used to manage those hybrid DVR servers.
To enable CMS to work with YVR-series hybrid DVR, the plugin called CMS Adapter can be installed in the CMS server.
The CMS server can be accessed by its local Workstation client, or remotely over the IP network using a Workstation client, web client or mobile client.
It is also possible to create keyboard-free monitoring solution by using TV Wall Servers. The users can collaborate in front of the TV Wall panels and switch the contents using the mobile app.
