High frame rate cameras capture images at higher amount of frames per second than a human eye could process realtime. The cameras that can capture at least 60 fps are defined as high frame rate cameras. The main application is to capture critical evidence in the fast moving scenes by using slow motion or frame by frame playback later.
Sometimes the evidence would occur only in 1 of the frames of the high frame rate video, which would not have happened in the normal capturing rate. For example in the casinos the sleight of hand by the professional cheater can be detected only by a high frame rate camera.
The fast moving cars can sometimes only be captured by the 60 fps or higher frame rate cameras.
