Network IO Modules

Connecting digital input and output based devices into the IP network using IO Modules.
Network IO Modules

Ogólne

There may be various devices that do not have IoT capability, but need to be connected to the IP network so that they can interact with the IP cameras, VMS or other systems.

For example, panic button, smoke sensor, passive infrared motion sensor, glass break detector, open door detector, etc, can all be connected to the IP network using network IO module. These devices are connected to the digital input or serial ports of the network IO module, and their events are then transmitted over the network to the management server. This way, the management server, such as NVR 3 or Access Control Smart Server will be notified about the panic button event instantly.

It is also possible to use network IO modules in the opposite direction by connecting several devices that serve a purpose of responding to some events, such as lights, strobos, buzzers, door locks, gate motors, and others. These devices are wired to the digital output of the the network IO module. When the management server such as NVR 3 wants to control any of these devices as a response to some events, the command is sent over the IP network to the IO Module, and the connected device gets activated.
