What is Object Visual Tracking?
Object Visual Tracking is a convenient presentation of Forensic Search feature. Forensic Search is the AI technology capable of finding similar looking objects accross multiple video channels of the VMS. The operator of the VMS would first select the object of interest by marking a bounding box around the object, such as the suspicious person entering the building and then initiate the Forensic Search. The VMS would then find all the video clips that might contain that suspicious person accross multiple video channels.

The Object Visual Tracking is the playback method of these found video clips where the clips have been placed into the seamless timeline. The operator can scroll back or forward, or skip to the specific point in time, to see where the suspect was in any given moment, such as at 4:31 a.m.

What type of objects can be tracked?
You can search for either people or vehicles. The VMS will find the similar matches instantly. You can then use the timeline view to see where the person or a vehicle went.

What parameters can be used for the Object Visual Tracking?

1. Selected target object by the bounding box
2. Selected time period of interest
3. Similarity level
4. Channels to be searched from

Object Visual Tracking is a great tool for the investigation. It saves so much time by not needing to go through all the channels manually to find out where the suspect went once it passed one of the camera views. As the suspect goes though the premises, appearing in the view of multiple video channels, the Object Visual Tracking can combine the results of all those channels into a single timeline, where it is possible to instantly navigate to any specific point of time.
