When the project scale goes beyond 256 cameras or there are many locations, then multiple NVR servers can be used. To have a centralized overview of all the video channels, ACTi CMS can be used to manage those NVR servers.

The CMS server can be accessed by its local Workstation client, or remotely over the IP network using a Workstation client, web client or mobile client.

It is also possible to create budget friendly TV Wall solution by using multiple video decoders connected to the TV panels via HDMI.

While the decoder-based TV Wall is showing the pre-defined live view layouts of multiple channels per screen, whenever an event occurs, such as motion detection, the activated channel can automatically become the full-screen channel for the pre-defined time period. This helps the security personnel notice and handle the incidents much more efficiently.

The keyboard-free monitoring is a convenient solution when the changes in the layouts are happening automatically by the pre-defined rules. This solution can be used for both security and service monitoring.

By connecting the NVR/CMS to ACTi's Access Control Smart Server, all the access control events can be pushed to the NVR.

Such integration of NVR and CMS with Access Control is often used when the primary management inteface is the CMS client view of the security cameras and for the convenience the access control events will come into the CMS client directly so that the operator does not need to switch between the screens to be aware of the access control events.
