Introduction

The unique value of ACTi Access Control solution is the seamless integration with ACTi VMS solution. The integration works in both directions. The access control server can display video streams from the NVR where each access point can bind up to 4 video channels. At the same time, NVR server can also receive access control events from the access control server and display irregularities as VMS alarms.

The Access Control Server can also receive alarms from the Fire System using Network IO Module. When the fire alarm is triggered, the personnel can be notified instantly.

When the door stations detect blacklisted card swipes or tampering attempts then the Access Control Server will trigger nearby buzzers or strobe lights to gain the attention of the security staff and deter the intruder, using Network IO Module that is connected to the buzzer or strobe light.

When the panic button is pressed or glass breaking sensor activated, the alarm signal is sent to the Access Control Server via Network IO Module. The server will then notify the staff by Line Messenger App or by other means. All the events shall be recorded by the server.

The Access Control system can also detect tailgating and piggybacking by using the smart integration of RFID card system and the video-based people counting device. When the number of people going through the door does not match with the number of RFID card swipes, the alarm is triggered immediately.
