In the past, railway traction vehicles of the Erfurt train company were often damaged by graffiti spraying criminals during night time. The surveillance of the train station was only possible by staff members patrolling the area, but it was not possible to get an overview of the whole situation.

 

The solution was the installation of cameras for a permanent video surveillance of the train area. There were several strong requirements for the cameras:

With its easy integration of the wireless network by Linksys Wireless Switches and Lancom point-to-point radio systems, the ACM-7411 also ensures a seamless remote access, management and video recording of the surveillance of the train station area. As the software solution ALNET System Software was chosen – a NVR solution which supports the whole ACTi camera product line.

 

With 11 units of ACM-7411 constantly monitoring the train station area, the safety of the railway traction vehicles is enhanced. Those potential incidents such as graffiti spraying will be reduced. The video recording system captures those suspect criminal.
