The "Techniekhuys’’, the headquarters of the Construction Education Group, is located in Veldhoven near the A2 highway. The building has an important regional function. It is the place for technical education studies and is also the place where business and education meet.
The demand for a camera security system in this project was based on a number of generic characteristics of an educational institution. An educational institution must be safe and people should feel at ease. It is also important to protect valuable electronics. Naturally the cameras are also used to analyze incidents and to be able to recover costs.
Solution
Due future extensions of this project it was important to pursue an open and scalable solution. The choice of an IP-based solution was quickly made. The project is filled with megapixel cameras from ACTi for its excellent price / quality ratio.
The cameras run through the Mirasys network video recorder platform. Xserius has chosen for the cameras of ACTi, because of its high image quality. The following models have been deployed: ACM-5601 and ACM-5611. With this solid solution reliability is guaranteed.
