ACTi SDK has been widely adapted by ACTi application partners, till end of 2009, ACTi have already reached over 500 SDK users all over the world. All ACTi partners can enjoy the benefit of using ACTi SDK to fasten their development schedule and implement a reliable, seamless ACTi camera integration. Now ACTi is going to phase out one of the SDK product, Linux SDK.
As ACTi aims to provide up to date, easy to use and high efficiency SDK to all ACTi software partners, ACTi have following support plan for existing and future Linux users:
1. Tech. Support Plan
(1) Starting from 2010/3/1, ACTi do not provide code level support to Linux SDK users. Camera level support will still be maintained.
(2) ACTi will not maintain and provide bug fix, enhancement, and modifications to Linux SDK.
2. What can Linux users have in the future
(1) For Video and Audio stream integration, open standard like RTSP/RTP Streaming and Streaming over HTTP is advised. ACTi will also provide support to integrate ACTi TCP proprietary streaming protocol.
(2) For camera management integration, all configurations done by CGI command is advised.
