The security system in the unversity composes of 25 units of ACTi CAM-5100HP and its 16-Channel Streaming Activator. To secure the saftety of a large campus, the IP sureveillance system is more cost-effective compared to a CCTV system. In a campus this size, building up a surveillance system with coxial cables is very expensive. The unversity decided to use their existing IP network infrastructure to build up the security system.
