ACTi's 4-channel video server, ACD-2200 and 1-channel video server, ACD-2100 have provided a clever solution to support traffic surveillance within major freeway tunnel in Middle of Taiwan. In the tunnel of Ba Gua Mountain, one of the famous traveling spots in Taiwan, all ACTi video servers connecting with analogue cameras are installed in a fiber optic LAN environment. Through ACTi video management software, NVR, the end-user can do the image recording and relevant integration with their-own Graphic Programming Software. The one-channel video server, ACD-2100 enables the end-user to record and view the picture of car details; in the mean time, the 4-channel video server, ACD-2200 allows the end-user to monitor the traffic situation effectively within the entire tunnel.  

The best advantage of using video server according to the end-user is that ACTi video server can offer the excellent video image quality by the advanced compression technology, MPEG-4. Meanwhile, there is almost no latency for the image transmission by using ACTi video server.

In the control center, the end-user setup five computers with ACTi's free bundle software "NVR" for video recording and management. ACTi's video server provides good video quality, running D1 resolution at 30 fps with very low latency. Another compelling reason of using ACTi's video server and bundled 64-channel NVR software was because the video quality, features and overall cost of the project met theirexpectations. They also appreciate ACTi's bundled NVR softwarebecause it is very easy to setup and operate for the Traffic center staff.
