ACTi and Alnet have successful finished the first security surveillance project together in Myslenice, Poland. Myslenice is a town in south of Poland. Last year it was really well known because of a brutal murder. After that, the local authorities decided to ensure more security to the citizens.

Because of wide area, and large distances between object points, the system was decided to go on wireless solution. For this installation, ACTi cameras were chosen because of the high video quality and low bandwidth requirements. ACTi's cameras are dedicated on MPEG4 streaming, which could provide very good video under limited bandwidth. Since the broad and wide distance, ACTi's Polish partner: Dipol and its wireless solution partner chose ACTi CAM-6620 (High Speed PTZ dome cameras) as option. The main features of the CAM-6620 are: Outdoor 23x optical zoom, high performance day/night mode, and wide dynamic range.

The projects are designed to have two control centers, which are located in the opposite sides of the town. The first one contains a recording server and a client station, and the second one–the main client station equipped with three LCD panels and the backup station. The authority could easily preview any camera anywhere with real time streaming, and also records the video in different places at the same time.

This system was built on the Netstation platform from software manufacturer–Alnet. It enables full control for the users at all work stations, with simultanous restricted access to the administrators' options. All the recordings are physically secured in the derived room.

“Although the CCTV IP in Myslenice is still the new technology, we do enjoy its convenience. We'd like to put more security project in to IP includes traffic surveillance, well known beach of the river, banks and shops as well” said by Myslenice authority.
