Background
Lander, a small city located near the heart of ‘The Equality State’, Wyoming, is home to one of the best gaming spots in the state; The Shoshone Rose Casino.  The Shoshone Rose Casino is owned and operated by the Eastern Shoshone Tribe of the Wind River Indian Reservation.  In September of 2007, the tribe celebrated the grand opening of their 7,000 square foot casino.  The new facility offered over 100 gaming machines, a self-serve deli, and a non-smoking gaming area. In September of 2009, the casino added an additional 9,000 square foot to the existing building, which added an additional 200 games, full service restaurant, smoke shop & conference rooms.

Solution
The Eastern Shoshone Tribe of Wind River wanted to, not only open an extraordinary gaming facility, but also take extraordinary measures in surveillance for the facility.  The casino owners turned to Alan Landis, owner of WirelessSolutions, Inc., to create a top of the line surveillance system that would be cost effective and reliable.  WirelessSolutions, Inc. provides services in Wireless Technologies, IP Surveillance, Commercial and Residential Security Solutions, Network Infrastructure Design, IT Services, and Consulting/Design of IP Surveillance Networks geared towards the gaming industry.  Mr. Landis proposed and installed ACTi products for The Shoshone Rose Casino’s needs.

Benefit

The installation involves a total of 114 ACTi surveillance cameras. And plans continue to grow for The Shoshone Rose Casino, including the integration of gaming tables at the casino and there are also plans for the addition of a hotel are in the near future. Along with these expansions, WirelessSolutions, Inc. is already working hand in hand with ACTi products for the 4th quarter 2010 surveillance network expansion to accommodate the new gaming tables, including the addition of numerous KCM-5211 4MP auto focus cameras.  These additions will accurately monitor the new addition of such gaming tables as blackjack and poker.
