Kam Dhanda, of Roger and Kam Subways in the Greater Vancouver area, was relieved to have just installed
ACTi’s TCM-4201 a week prior to one of his locations being robbed. A man, who looked like a typical customer, entered one of their stores, pulled a knife, and robbed the money from the till. The robber was arrested by police shortly after receiving the video.
Kam Dhanda had been debating which security company to use for the purchase of surveillance systems for each of his 15 stores. Blanchard Security aimed to go above and beyond in customer service and demonstrations, and after introducing the Roger and Kam Subway owners to an ACTi unified solution, they won the bid.
Blanchard Security provided a demo camera (ACTi’s ACM-4201) for one of their stores in December 2009 prior to the decision being made. With the new TCM series later released, the owners final camera of choice was the TCM-4201, as the customer was pleased with the dual stream function which allowed streaming VGA (640x480) resolution at 500kbps 9fps to the head office with real-time audio, and recording of high quality Megapixel (1280x1024) 4mbps 18fps locally at each site. At that time, only a few primitive analog cameras were used at a couple of their locations.
The store owners were seeking a solution that offered easy unified access to all of their sites for both the area managers and owners, and in addition to that, individual store access for the various store managers. Video quality and ease of use were important factors contributing to the decision. The ACTi unified solution presented by Blanchard Security met all of their needs.
"Blanchard Security has provided exceptional security products for our business. We now have the ability to manage and monitor operations with greater efficiency.” ~ Kam Dhanda, owner of Roger and Kam Subways
Thanks to ACTi and Blanchard Security, the Roger and Kam Subway locations are staying ahead of the curve in security solutions and theft prevention.
