Background
Papelera Nacional is the most important paper producer in Ecuador producing first quality goods and services, established since February 28, 1961. It is one of the three leading companies in the sector in Latin America, due to the fact that it has its own paper mill where major steps and measures are constantly taken to protect our rainforest and the environment altogether, with the latest top of the line production and conversion technologies. These papers are MADE with FSC certified wood chips. In addition to that, Papelera Nacional is also encouraged to continue using sugar cane bagasse for some of productions.
Solution
In order to make sure every step of production can be done correctly and perfectly, the crew of Papelera Nacional had to go from a plant to the other for inspecting which is time-spending and inefficient. Thus, they decided to install IP cameras to monitor the production procedures and avoid the damages or the injury happens. 7 pieces of ACTi ACM-1231 Megapixel IP Bullet Camera and 2 pieces of ACM-8511 IP PTZ Camera surveillance system are installed in the paper plant made it possible to control the procedures of the elaboration of paper in real time.
Benefit
ACTi IP cameras can provide constant monitoring of the paper plant in real time. Even when the administrator is not there, they can still monitor it by using the web client via internet explorer. ACTi helps Papelera Nacional to spend less money but achieve the maximum of production efficiency.
With remote monitoring can review the information from the cameras in real time without exhausting the resources of the network. It is like the supervisor can be in two places at one time.
