Background
The Compagnie Mauricienne de Textile Ltée (CMT) is one of the leading vertically integrated garment manufacturers in the world.  Headquartered in Mauritius, CMT specializes in fast-fashion jersey-wear for high-street retails in Europe and the US. CMT has the largest vertically-integrated manufacturing plants in the Sub-Saharan region and is known for its marked investment in world-class facilities and state-of-the-art operations.

 

Solution
The CMT has over 200 units existing analog surveillance system in the factory and they have refurbished headquarter office and with existing network cable, L2+L3 switch can reduce overall infrastructure cost and can be easily managed. Meanwhile, facial identification is important for CMT due to over 10,000 employees work in the factory. According to the past experience, CMT realized it is difficult for D1 resolution analog camera to achieve the requirement.

 

As for remote site office management, video transmission bandwidth is main concern of system setup. ACTi IP cameras can adjust different frame rate, bit rate, video quality to be able to achieve bandwidth limitation for CMT IT dept. Eventually, 22units ACM-3411 Megapixel IP Fixed Dome Cameras, 7 units ACM-3511 Megapixel IP Fixed Dome Cameras, 13 units ACM-1231 Megapixel IP Bullet Cameras, and 4 units ACM-4001 IP Cube Cameras installed at office area and demo room with ACTi NVR Enterprise software. Phase 2 and 3 of installation will be started when refurbishing work done.

The stability, compatibility and the most important for single contact window to reduce time consuming if any possible critical issue happen. The entire system is deployed according to the highest standards to protect CMT’s valuable data and properties.
