Background
Indar Electric, belongs to the group Ingeteam, is the manufacture of electric motors and generators for both industrial sector and the of sea transport and rail sector. Recently, they also specialize inmanufacturing of wind generators.
There are 1200 employees,the facilities is about 40.000 square meter. In order to control the work efficiency, they choseACTi IP surveillance system to monitor the perimeter and interior areas.
Solution
The perimeter is covered with 20 pieces of ACM-5711 IP Box Cameras and 8 pieces of CAM-6630 IP Speed Dome Cameras. The 4 pieces of ACM-3311 IP Fixed Dome Cameras some interior corridors and the ACD-2400 16-channel Video Encoder for 12 pre-existing analog cameras in the facility. Indar Electronics has 44 cameras in total as an IP surveillance system that monitors the factory.
Speaking about the factory security, vehicular traffic control can be a key factor. Thus, Indar Electronics has installed the software of CIRCONTROL which also provides the car plate recognition service.
Benefit
The surveillance system is installed in a LAN environment; all camera data are transmitted via the fiber optics. Video storage and management are done on the PC, which serves as a server in the control center room. Besides, ACM-3311 is equipped with mechanical IR cut filter and IR LED, which means it is capable of delivering high-quality video with a wealth of details even in a low-light condition. It is very flexible that ACM-5711 is available for interchangeable lens according to the camera shooting circumstance. Besides, CAM-6630 IP Speed Domes were installed to give a full view of its surroundings. When the Indar started to expand the scope of their surveillance system, some traditional analog cameras were converted to IP by using the ACD-2400 video encoder. Indar chose CIRCONTROL software along with ACTi IP cameras to have the best image quality for recognizing the car plate in order to control the vehicular traffic.
