ACTi's Italy partner just installed the perfect hybrid IP solution, consisting of video servers( SED-2140) and video decoders(SED-3320) on the harbor in Venice, Italy. The benefit of using ACTi hybrid IP surveillance is that the monitoring administrators don't need to change their operation habit which means that they can still use traditional CCTV devices to manage the IP surveillance system. Besides, our partner is pleased to install the hybrid IP surveillance system to solve the distance problem of coaxial cabling in the harbor. The additional advantage of using ACTi hybrid IP solution is that the manager also can preview the whole harbor situation simultaneously in his office through ACTi free-bundle software, NVR.

Along the harbor in Venice, there are 3 safety control rooms for the security surveillance. And each control room manages 5 traditional high-end analog cameras and 1 DVR for video recording. The complete ACTi hybrid IP solution contains 15 one-channel video servers and 15 one-channel video decoders. And there is one ACTI NVR installed at the safety guard manager's office for real-time preview and video recording back up.

Through this hybrid solution, ACTi network video recorder enables the surveillance system with 100% stability and flexibility.
