Background 
Grand Hotel Alassio is a five star hotel located in province of Savona. The perfect location at the beach makes it a famous summer resort since nineteen century. To ensure public and private safety, the owner of hotel decided to go for an advanced IP video surveillance solution.
Solution
ACTi’s partner, Eico Electtronica Industriale Comense Srl, completed the project with 25 ACTi cameras surrounding the hotel, both indoor and outdoor. And all cameras are managed by ACTi NVR2.3. Hotel manager check the live view with predefined layouts. If necessary, he can check the recording with instant digital zoom-in both under live view and recording. The administrator can also remotely log-in to the server to view the videos. What’s more, the iphone app from ACTi allows the hotel owner to check the cameras through cell phone at 5fps under CIF resolution.
Benefits
The hotel owner was looking for a stable solution with a well-known brand, and ACTi met the requirements very well. Below were the main features that the end user was satisfied from:
1. PoE: It was difficult to pull extra power lines for the cameras due to the existing structure of the building. With ACTi’s PoE cameras, this problem was simply solved.
2. Crystal clear image for critical points: TCM-7811 is an outdoor 1.3M dome camera with CCD sensor and embedded IR LED. For critical points such as entrance and parking lot, no details will be lost.
3. The 2-inch mini dome ACM-3701 perfectly fits the interior design of the hotel and does not cause uncomfortable feeling for customers.
4. User friendly software: When an event is triggered, such as by motion, access control, users can set up different reaction for example to trigger the alarm, send notice to Email, instant pop-up window…etc. With E-map function, it is even easier to track the event by area. For the end user, it is a complete but simply operating system!
