Chung-Hwa Telecom(CHT) is the largest ISP in Taiwan, have a research lab located in Chungli which is developing a new solution for add-on value upon bandwidth selling. They used 64 sets of 4-ch video server, ACTi ACD-2200 to link 256 channel existent analog cameras in the lab zone. They would like to transfer all the analog cameras to IP architecture.

They have two purposes to build up this IP surveillance solution this time:

1. Upgrade resolution and video quality from DVR to NVR for Lab zone security.
2. Build up demo site for CMS management application evaluation. 

CHT also adopt ACTi SDK to develop CMS for several vertical market applications:

● Police solution

● Retail solution

● BA solution

● Campus solution

CHT planned to have each channel in CIF resolution at 7 FPS under 512 K bandwidth. ACTi's products deliver good video quality with limited bandwidth. CHT is also very satisfied with the high P/P ratio of ACD-2200.  Another reason for choosing ACTi's products is because ACTi provide stable SDK and related support.  CHT is therefore easily developing the managment application software.

CHT have 80% above bandwidth existence customer in Taiwan, including large/middle/small enterprise and SOHO/Retail customers. Now, they would like to also provide Video Security add on service to enterprise and retail customers in order to helping bandwidth selling.  With ACTi's product offering, CHT is able to provide the complete solution with competitive price.
