Alpen Casino is a brand new four star casino in Freising, Germany. The casino has numbers of gamble machines, a bar and two rest and smoking zones. 

 

To provide a safe environment for the customers and employees, the monitoring system has to run 24/7 and 7days a week. The basic customer requirement is that they need a surveillance system that is easy to use and maintain and scalable for future expansions. Additionally, a live view of all cameras on two flat screens installed at the smoking zone is essential; it allows gamblers to always keep an eye on their gamble machines, even when they are on a coffee or smoking break. 

ACTi was chosen for this project because ACTi’s unified solution is able to fulfill the customer’s requirements. A total numbers of 32 ACTi cameras are installed. Including 30 pieces of ACM-3401 Megapixel IP Fixed Dome Cameras and 2 pieces of CAM-6510 IP Speed Dome Cameras were deployed. Furthermore, ACTi’s NVR Enterprise Server and workstation is used for the management of the whole surveillance system. It allows the live-view and recording of all cameras.

Even under the complicated lighting conditions in the casino, the ACM-3401 is able to provide high quality pictures, because of the high light-sensitivity of ACTi cameras. 2 ACTi Speed Dome Cameras, CAM-6510 completed the whole surveillance system. It patrols the whole casino and even any emergency occurs, the camera can instantly zoom in optically. The ACTi NVR Enterprise allows to have live-view as well as to retrieve recorded videos remotely and conveniently. Using the Internet Explorer browser, all cameras can be live-viewed on the two flat screen monitors installed at the rest and smoking zone.

 

Thanks to the close cooperation of ACTi, Alpen Casino is one of the few casino in Germany that is using a state of the art IP surveillance solution.
