Loulakis Polichronis & Associates Co. started its operations in 2005 and it offers technical software services such as development, training, support on Autodesk products widely used by technical experts in all fields(AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, 3DS MAX, Autodesk Revit etc). The company is authorized as a developer, publisher and training center for Autodesk, a Corel training partner as well as being a certified ACTA examination center.

    

Every day, dozens of engineers attend highly professional trainings. In order to secure the premises and offer a comfortable learning environment, the owner decided to install a surveillance system to protect the establishment.  

There was an existing gigabit UTP cabling that could be used. So implementing an IP system which could save a lot of cabling and labor costs was ideal. Moreover, there was an existing dedicated computer that can serve as the NVR server in control room.

    

After confirming project requirements, customer chose ACTi solution due to its relatively wide product line that provides both entry level cameras and professional models, in addition to very competitive prices. In this case, two indoor bullet cameras ACM-1311P were installed in the front entrance and the secretary office, and cube cameras ACM-4000 were installed in each of the seven training rooms.

     
The owner can monitor the premises remotely. And if vandalism or theft occurs, he can immediately watch the video playback and get evidence. “I’m quite satisfied with the performance from ACTi’s Cameras, NVR system and the overall integrated solution.” said the owner. “I am also surprised how supportive ACTi and SP Controls Ltd have been during all the process.” Customer is considering a future extension plan using high-definition cameras with ACTi megapixel product line.
