ACTi empower D-RON SINGAPORE PTE LTD, a system integrator in Singapore, successfully installed the security system for Newton Food Centre in Singapore.
Newton Food Centre is a major food centre located in Newton, Singapore.

The food centre was promoted by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) as a tourist attraction for sampling Singaporean cuisine and it was first opened in 1971. The security system in Newton Food Centre composed of 12 units of ACTi ACM-1431, 4units ACD-2100, and 1 set of ACTi 16 Channels NVR software.

The National Environment Agency (NEA) installed these cameras for several purposes:
1.Security - the Asian countries are very worried that European and American tourist are the targets of terrorist attack.
2.Touting and soliciting - Newton hawkers are also famous for touting and even harassing tourists for business.
3.Smoking ban - all Singapore food centers are suppose to be cigarette-free.

To secure the saftety for a large tourism, the IP sureveillance system is more cost-effective compared with CCTV system, due to in the large place to install coxial cablings is very expensive.
