ACTi has a successful harbor surveillance project for MB'92 in Port of Barcelona (Spain). MB'92 is the top 3 yacht company in the world. They based on Barcelona Port to engage the yacht refit, repair and Maintenance business.

Since the environment is a harbor, it is not easy to install cables or bury cables under the ground. It is decided to install Wi-Max system and ACTi outdoor IP cameras in this project. The reason for choosing ACTi products is the complete product types, excellent video quality, and best price.

ACTi's Spanish partner, Circontrol and their Wi-Max solution partner, Eurona have chose CAM-6220 (outdoor high speed PTZ dome) to view the big area, ACM-1431 (outdoor bullet camera) for the good quality and all-in-one function. The 2 models both have weatherproof and Day/Night function to work in outdoor environment and offer clear video for 24 hours. In addition, they use CAM-5321 with outdoor housing to enjoy the flexibility of changeable lens.

The whole surveillance system is under LAN network with 12 cameras and Milestone management software. It needs 12 hour monitoring and 24 hour recording so the image size and storage size is very important. This is also why the customer chose ACTi. ACTi's MPEG-4 compression can offer full D1 resolution, 5 frames per second with only 2.8 G storage size for 24 hour recording.
