The rapid growth of “intelligent community” in China brings it to another level.  Traditional analog and digital surveillance system is not up to “intelligent community’s” requirement because of coaxial cable usage between edge device and control center.  ACTi helps Shen-Chen’s “intelligent community” develop an IP surveillance solution.

This “intelligent community” installed 16 units of ACTi IP box camera CAM-5320, located at the main entrance, stairways, and perimeter of the community where security may be a concern.  They are day and night IP cameras conducting 24-hour a day recording and monitoring.  Because there were already residents living in the community, in order not to destroy the environment of the community, they decided to use wireless transmission as the backbone of the network security surveillance system.  Each IP camera is about 2-3 kilometers away from the control center, and each camera is connected to a 2.4G wireless bridge, and a total of 54Mbps wireless bandwidth is used for multi-camera recording and monitoring at the same time. 

The control center uses 4 LCD monitors and ACTi NVR 2.0 video management software for video monitoring and recording.
