ACTi IP surveillance solution helps Chunghwa Picture Tubes Ltds. (CPT) to upgrade video surveillance system to improve safety of manufacturer factories area.

Chunghwa Picture Tubes Ltds. is one of the biggest TFT-LCD & CRTTV manufacturer in the world. To enhance all factories area security, CPT chose ACTi IP surveillance totally solution, including ACM-1431 and ACTi NVR.

ACM-1431 is all-in-one outdoor IP bullet camera with Day and Night function, integrated with IR LED. ACTi NVR offers simultaneously 64 channels (1920 frames/ per second at Full D1 resolution) recording function. Moreover, fiber optical is the basic infrastructure inside the factories area. IP solution is highly wanted by CPT, because total installation cost of using traditional CCTV solution is much higher than IP system. For that reason, ACTi ACM-1431 plus NVR is the perfect solution for CPT.

Actually, CPT installed two different traditional DVR systems.  Since there is existing optic fibre backbone, it was a must to convert analog signal to digital in order to be transmitted along the optical fibre backbone.  However, after using this system for a period of time, the video quality decreased.  Due to this reason, CPT had concerns on traditional DVR systems.  Thus, IP video surveillance solution is exactly what they need for today and in the near future.
