ACTi's IP camera, Video Decoders and NVR software have enabled a prison in Middle East to incorporate IP based CCTV systems. Incorporating with customer's analog matrix and TV monitor, the existing analog investment keeps running but the wiring cost is replaced from coaxial cable to network cable or wireless which saves lots of installation cost.
There is one main prison building. The IP cameras are installed on all entrances and hallways. All IP cameras are connected by network cable. Security guard stays in the control room to monitor all activities in the prison. By connecting the Video Decoder, the video streaming from IP cameras will be converted back to analog and feeding into matrix. So, security guard can still use current matrix and TV monitor to manage all channels. The operators can choose what cameras go on which screens as well how many views per screen. As for the video recording, ACTi's NVR software enables customer to use PC recording at local site in the main prison building and another PC's in the control room for remote recording. Therefore, all preview videos are able to be done with existing analog matrix and TV monitor. All the recording videos are managed by NVR.
ACTi provides a total solution to customer including IP cameras, Video Decoders and NVR software.
For existing analog system, ACTi provides Video Decoders which can convert the IP video streaming from IP camera or video server back to analog. Therefore the video can be showed on existing TV monitor and the PC with ACTi’s NVR at the same time.
For the video recording, it can be managed by ACTi NVR for local and remote recording. ACTi's Video Decoders and NVR softwareare the most efficient way to combine current analog system and new IP system which provides a flexible hybrid solution to customers.
Why did they choose ACTi? ACTi's MPEG-4 IP products provide D1 (720x576) resolution at 30 frames per second and utilize low bandwidth and storage size. Overall, this solution decreases significantly the installation costs of networking and increases the flexibility for the installation of monitors, DVRs and cameras.
