ACTi IP Speed Dome is installed in the tourist hotspot, the lake Chiemsee, to give potential visitors a good impression of the landscape. The lake Chiemsee live video stream is accessible via website www.webcam-seebruck.de.

The main purpose of this project was to find a solution to spread live MPEG video via internet to theoretically an unlimited amount of users. MediaService Fuchshuber, website service provider, decided to choose ACTi solutions, includes IP speed dome, CAM-6220 and ACTi NVR, to deliver a complete end to end solution that is to transmit real-time video stream.

The IP speed dome is connected via 6Mbit ADSL line to the internet and transmits video streams to ACTi NVR. The video traffic is streamed to NVR which is installed on a root server in the internet. The web page which displays the live video contains the HTML code connected to the ACTi NVR.

Because of NVR Streaming Engine, NVR can duplicate camera's signal stream and distribute it to unlimited users to see real-time streaming from tourist spots. Furthermore, because of using IP speed dome, the visitors of the website can control the function of pan, tilt, zoom remotely by selecting various preset point. 

The customer has selected ACTi for its competitive price and the competent technology support provided by XORTEC GmbH during the realization of this project. Furthermore, ACTi's device can provide the customer with high video quality but requiring very low bandwidth. The solution provided by XORTEC has met the customer's high expectation and the customer was also benefited from saving the cost of bandwidth.
