This hospital asked each operation room to be equipped with one camera so that supervisor of the hospital and chief physicians can real-time view the operation and provide their comments and advices. Because of the uniqueness of this application, this hospital asked the video to be real-time, full frame rate, and video and audio need to be sync.
Right now, in each of the operation room, there are four analog cameras. Each analog camera is connected to one ACTi video server SED-2400, which supports real-time video and two-way audio. The video and audio streams are transmitted through local area network. RS-485 is also transmitted through same local area network. During the operation, Chief physicians will view the operation in different angles through client software, and communicate with the doctors in the operation room via the audio devices. The whole operation process will be transmitted to remote control center through network, and be recorded there. All video will be stored atFull D1 resolution (720x 480 and 720x 576) at 30/25 fames per second. This is a good example that will be extended to future hospital projects.
Why did customer choose ACTi?
ACTi's products support Full D1 resolution (720x 576), 30/25 frames per second,
and uses low bit rate to provide good video quality. This unique feature allows users to record longer. Also, ACTi's video server supports transparent RS-485 channel allowing users to use different PTZ cameras with different PTZ protocols. Because of ACTi, this hospital builds up an easy and effective monitoring system, and also improves operation quality.
