ACTi IP cameras and Aimetis AIRA intelligent surveillance software were chosen by the founders of Marabou Park in Sundbyburg, Sweden, as the security system to protect a series of precious statues situated inside the park.
Marabou Park was commissioned by Marabou's founder Henning Throne-Holst as a recreational park for the employees of his chocolate factory and contains an impressive sculpture collection. In 2002, the Municipal Council of Sundbyberg and the park's owner Kraft Foods Sverige AB signed a lease agreement, whereby the town lets the park for a token sum. A foundation was created to build up a centre for contemporary art in the cocoa-laboratory and park.
To preserve the well-being of these rear and worldly-famous art crafts, of which the insurance value made by Lloyds insurance is 220 billions USD, the authority seeks for finest surveillance solution from ACTi local value-added distributor, DoNet AB. 9pcs of ACTi Day & Night PoE IP fixed domes, CAM-7321P, and1pc Day & Night IP high speed dome, CAM-6620P, are used along with Aimetis AIRA Intelligent software. Aimetis is one of the Independent Software Vendor partners of ACTi.
The deployment has been completed in the beginning of the summer this year. In total 10 ACTi cameras installed, 8 of them (CAM-7321P) are mounted on house walls to detecting statues. 1 camera (CAM-7321P) is mounted on a pole and connected through a wireless bridge (300 meters) with WPA encryption and 54 megabyte of speed. The outdoor IP speed dome (CAM-6620P) is to swipe the park area for intruders. All Cameras is powered by PoE except the speed dome, which makes it simple to deploy the devices. All live video streams go direct to a security company located 800 miles from the park, where the central monitoring and the irregular (different times) camera patrolling is done on Aimetis AIRA Enterprise license. The intelligent software is set-up to do motion tracking and object classification. Alarms are set on rules according to object type, direction and event-based recording and tracking.
